Lol well that's an annoying cliffhanger to end the season on. It is interesting how focused on Grete the second half of the season was, I thought Lily was the "main girl" for this series but I guess it makes sense each girl would eventually get an arc for themselves. I am not sure if that really is the case in the source material.

I thought it was amusing how Grete thought all the girls would eventually fight over Klaus and only came to trust them when it seemed like none of them would have romantic feelings for him.

Grete has 6 consecutive episodes all about her rather than Lily. I definitely agree. 5 episodes are for Daugther dearest arc which makes Grete more of main rather than Lily.

And since anime went the release order way, she got so many episodes.

It's not farfetched for a few girls to become attracted to Klaus.
So far, Lily has teased Klaus about them having "dates", & Sybilla was teased about her "date" with Klaus & she was behaving uncharacteristically girly at 1 point.

Well the thing is, so far Annette and Thea gets a full volume/ arc for themselves in 3 and 4 respectively. So yes, that is the case to some extent.

Spy Classroom

This show is criminally mediocre considering how stacked high-profile VAs it has.

My main problem is I feel like the story already ended in episode 3 where they successfully completed a (supposedly) Impossible Mission. The later episodes feel like fillers that carry no weight or substance. For example in the last mission, we know that their mission is to eliminate a famous assassin but the story never established what would happen if the mission failed. And to make things worse, the famous assassin was not even a threat to begin with since Klaus could single-handedly take care of him. So, what's the point?

And did I tell you that that mission was supposed to be another Impossible Mission? When the author makes light of his own story, I see no reason why I should care.

And, no, throwing a plot twist at the last minute doesn't make me more interested in the story even one bit.

The characters are boring and forgettable. I can't remember all the main casts since they barely have any unique traits at all (except for their VAs). Umehara Souichirou plays yet another bootleg Goblin Slayer. Lily is Aqua with big boobs. I remember Grete because the show pushes her role as Klaus' potential lover so hard. The others? I barely remember their names and faces. That how bland they are.

I can't help but compare this with other shows sharing the same setting but did better. Spy X Family, Assassination Classroom, Lycolis Recoile, and Princess Principle, to name a few. I was so interested in the show when I first saw the PV seeing how it packed with all the top VAs. 4.5/10 I wished I wouldn't hand it this score but here I am.

I do have to admit that I remember their characters by the voice actors instead of their names other than the more notable ones like Grete and Lily.

The only good thing in this show for me is pretty girls and nothing else. The first time i saw the PV with the dark atmosphere reminded me of the mind-game like in CoTE and Tomodachi Game, but what with this disappointed feeling i got. They resolved cases seems to be too convenient( which is normal), but never give me any goosebump at all because of how mediocre the methods they used to solve the case that doesn't fit the disciple of the World's best assassin. The setting is all over the place and also the plot.

Even Klause is forgettable even with how much they tried to make him looks emotionless and be a chad at the same time like Ayanokouji.

As you said, i wouldn't go to the source material even they dropped the cliffhanger at the end unlike CoTE where i went to LN and i instantly get hooked by it or Tomodachi when i have to go to its manga even the anime did kinda so-so, but the methods they used to solved the problems were very interesting.

The plot summary didn't appeal to me so I couldn't bring myself to even start watching. But I'd peak at the number of comments on each new episode and got the impression that this was one to skip. Now I'm glad I never picked up this series.

I dropped it after the 1st. No Uncensored version means it's not culturally appropriate.

At this point you should watched anime only in Hentai Haven or Hanime lmao.

The "plot twists" and time jumps are bad enough on their own. Then you have a bunch of dropout girls trying to 1-up their teacher that got old quick. This show is so absurd IDK whether to laugh or take it seriously.

Factor that with the fact that we have SpyXFamily and Lycoris Recoil last year, this is deserving of a 3.

I agree with Ohms that it's not really a 3 but yeah it's weak and boring, as for me I'll give it a 5/10 since most highlight out of this is the fanservice.

And even Buddy Daddies even though it's not really spy but still.
